REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS:
Facilitator for Community-Led Grantmaking and Mission Investing
Vision, Strategy, Guidelines and Processes

The Footprint Foundation is seeking proposals from experienced facilitators to support a group of community members as they begin to step into the process of deciding how and where to allocate the Foundation’s resources in their community. The Trustees of Footprint Foundation believe that as leaders who are daily working to address the issues that will make their community a thriving place for all, community leaders themselves know best how and where the Foundation’s assets can most effectively be utilized. The Trustees have committed an initial $4M funding allocation for this community-led effort, which will be guided by the Foundation’s mission to create connections for a more equitable community.

We invite interested individuals or organizations with a strong background in participatory practices, facilitation, consensus-building, and social cohesion to submit their proposals.

OBJECTIVE
The primary objective of the planning phase of this project is to facilitate a participatory and inclusive process that enables this group of community members to rally around a shared vision and strategic goals for the use of these funds. The facilitator will guide the group through any combination of workshops, discussions, and activities to foster trust, collaboration, and consensus, as they identify key priorities, strategies, criteria/guidelines, and processes for the work. We hope some fun can be had while learning, growing, and creating together too!
