What does it mean to be recognized with the Footprint Award?

Incredibly special! The work I do, I do it because I believe it is the right thing to do. I never think about who might be watching or what others think so receiving this award really surprised me and validated the work that we do.

What inspires you to do your work?

Seeing people connect to the land inspires me to do all that I can. I don't see our work as the solution, but a part of the solution. Seeing people grow and change before my very eyes is so rewarding.

What is one wish you have for Chattanooga?

I wish we were further along with addressing social injustice and social inequity issues.
